WiFi speeds are moving up from the current fastest IEEE 802.11n standard of 600Mbps to a new 802.11ac standard, transmitting exclusively on the 5Ghz range, which will provide theoretical top speeds of 3 times the speed of 802.11n and lower power consumption as well, paving the way for even smoother in-house video streaming and very fast data transmission.
